IN2NYC PROGRAM DRIVE SUCCESSFUL INNOVATION

Nov 12, 2019

Xiaoqi Ma, CInO of UE Lab, has been selected to participate in the International Innovators Initiative (IN2NYC) in partnership with LaGuardia Community College! He was selected out of a group of entrepreneurs from 18 different countries to be part of the Fourth Cohort of this exciting program.

The International Innovators Initiative (IN2NYC) is a program that creates a pathway for international entrepreneurs to build their businesses in New York City and create jobs for New Yorkers. IN2NYC facilitates collaborative partnerships between partner schools and international entrepreneurs, helping partner schools (CUNY institutions and NYU) collaborate with international entrepreneurs to further their institutional missions and goals. Additionally, while building their businesses, IN2NYC selected entrepreneurs are required to serve local university communities, such as by contributing to academic research, developing curricula, and/or serving as mentors and employers for CUNY and NYU students.

IN2NYC brings entrepreneurs and potential new employment opportunities, services, and revenue streams into neighborhoods across New York City’s five boroughs.  According to academic research, each tech sector job creates approximately 4-7 additional jobs in the surrounding metropolitan area.  This program thus has the potential to create hundreds of new jobs across New York City.
